Caroline and Andy, Deer Park, Cape Town
Oh I (Toni) loved this shoot. I have been emailing with Caroline for quite some time, when she was organising her and Andy’s wedding. They are both from England (Andy works in Malawi at the moment), travelled to more than 20 countries together and are such a sweet couple. The day we did this shoot was also the day they arrived in Cape Town… (looking good after a long flight, right?). What a natural shoot so close to our most loved Table Mountain… Keep on checking in the next few days when we blog their awesome wedding!

Cara and Kevin, Paarden Eiland, Cape Town
Cape Town. Industrial Paarden Eiland. Saturday early morning. It’s hot. It’s windy. We met up with lovebirds Cara and Kevin who will get married in March this year. Langebaan skatepark rocks!
A couple of my friends and I went to ride/skate the new Langebaan skatepark, WOW I loved it! Between my skating session I managed to take a few pictures of Wayne, Savage and Tobie from Salvo Bikes.

Eola and Kristian, Vrede en Lust, Simondium
It was a super hot day. There was a lot of emotion, lot’s in the color purple, many bicycles, great food and much laughter. Eola and Kristian from London decided to get married in South Africa, Eola’s home country. It was a perfect day, a great start into the new year 2012. Friends, enjoy the ride! P.S. This is another Stellenbosch shoot; yes, people love this little wine town. We understand. It simply has its charm. So we met up with Alexa and Alastair (from Joburg) – it started with spotting an owl in a tree – and then we went for a little walk through Stellenbosch’s lanes. The sun and the fun was with us. You know when people say “we live in a small world” when they hear about you knowing this person they know … someone told me you should rather think “God is big”. So I, Toni, was an exchange student in 2002 in Pretoria and went to school with Marco. 9 years later we met at his cousin’s wedding Desiree in Franschhoek and we couldn’t believe it. There, I also met Anya and it was so awesome to hear from them a few months later telling us they got engaged and if we could do a little shoot. Marionne and Hannes, Towerbosch Restaurant Knorhoek, Stellenbosch
After the Voortrekker shoot with Marionne and Hannes last summer we knew their wedding would be something different. Knorhoek’s Towerbosch Restaurant is a kick ass venue decorated in so much style, serving the most yummy food ever – good choice guys! Chanel and Lincon, Zorgvliet, Stellenbosch
Wohhhowww. Chanel and Lincon are an amazing couple where the energy is just right. Hang out with them and you know what we mean. They met at an accountant’s dance :) and are very exciting, outgoing and happy people. A few months ago they moved to Australia so we met long ago for their engagement shoot in Bo-Kaap, Cape Town. We shot our neighbour Jo. She needed a portrait of herself for the magazine Fairlady that will feature her and her blog Pretty Pretty in a coming issue. It was a rainy day and not really the time for an outside shoot, but we were lucky to get a few great shots of designer Jo in our hood District Six.

Ruth and Branden, Rhebokskloof, Paarl
Ruth was probably the bride that was the most excited for her wedding ever with countdowns and many tweets and Facebook posts. Finally, she and Branden got hitched. Liesl and Henco, Tea under the trees, Paarl
We are flippin excited to share this wedding with you. Beautiful people, a beautiful venue, a beautiful super hot South African summer day make a gorgeous wedding. In June, Liesl and Henco got engaged in a light house, we did their Woodstock engagement shoot a couple of days later and all the positive feedback for the kick ass shoot with them made us super stoked to shoot their wedding. They are easy to photograph, happy laughing people and you can just feel how close they are. We love outdoor weddings so their choice to celebrate at Tea under the trees in Paarl (definitely a favourite venue) made us super excited; and it rocked. Chantelle and Terrence, 5 Ryneveld, Stellenbosch
Wow. This wedding was a blast! What a beautiful, thought-through and handmade wedding. Chantelle has been busy since the beginning of the year to put it all together – well done, it was a feast for the eyes. The wedding was filled with pipes, good food, decor, sunshine and happy people. We enjoyed the kick-ass venue, 5 Ryneveld in Stellenbosch – definitely one to keep in mind for everyone out there looking for a different venue to beach and wine farm. I loved Mairead and Paul’s little intimate wedding. We had a wiskey, a lovely ceremony and took some awesome easy photos. lovely or ‘grand’ like Mairead will say :).
